Separating Mixtures
Project information
General Purpose
This course introduces young learners to the science of separating mixtures. Students will explore different types of mixtures and learn how to use simple separating tools, such as magnets, filters, and evaporation, to separate substances like iron filings, sand, and water. Through hands-on examples and guided practice, students will build a basic understanding of why certain separating methods work for certain materials. By the end of this course, learners will be able to identify a mixture, choose the right tool for separating it, and explain their thinking in simple terms.
